I've had decent success with Continentals, Kellys, and Yokohamas.
I like the Bridgestone R280 or R285 for a steer tire. -
My car hauling trailer has 19.5 tires. As you might imagine you assume the position when going to buy those.
ALMOST $1000 out the door price for two Michelins. Continentals are about $850. I had to pay for the Michelins at the Sapp Bros Service center in Denver when I HAD to have tires now. The last two I got were Continentals. -
I know, we had them on our MRI scanners

Michelin here. XZA3 on the steers and X-Ones on the drives. Can't remember what I paid for the steers, but the X-Ones were $671 a tire with my fleet discount. Michelin kicked in $400 for the X-Ones, and an additional $200 for "preferred customer." Not to mention what they gave me for the old tires.
Contacting the tire rep can go a long way sometimes. Especially if you need "convincing" to go with his brand.
I believe if you're with OOIDA you get a discount on Bridgestone. I sure wish they would add Michelin. But if you're leased on anywhere, most fleets have some kind of discount. -
I copy that, Rubber has skyrocketed in the last 10yrs, 287's for $321 tire&installed good? I can't run caps on my drives
