My experience was just that my experience. Yours could be different. Since they have 4000+ employees they must be doing something right.

Since the economy went to the crapper a lot of companies haven't purchased equipment but that's starting to change now. Is that the case at TMC.. I don't know. The equipment issue was a problem but to me it was more on how the situations were handled that made me leave.

Only advise I have is to get there early Sunday. If you can't get there early Sunday then Saturday it is but I'd recommend Sunday. I got there Saturday and there is NO place to go to get food or anything until Monday. I spent almost $30 between Sat-Sun because any food I got had to be delivered to the hotel. And I only had food brought out twice.

Other than that do you homework. I have no hard feelings towards TMC. Just a difference of opinion.

You didn't like the Bensons? I loved em. Thought they were nice and light and thought they were one of the better manufacturers. But then.... I was new.

The one thing I didn't like was that they were beginning to put super singles on the trailers when I was in ornamentation. That was around August 07 or so.

Be nice if more shippers would just throw TMC out for stupid stuff like that. I'm sure they taught guys how to chain them either way and if the paperwork says to do it, then there should bee no screwing around to make a phone call.

Not like TMC is gonna call the shipper and change their mind in 5 minutes.

What if it's an 80k coil? Does the driver have to call congress?

No I'm not a Benson fan. They're nice looking trailers until you put a coil on them. Pretty sad when the one I had would sag with lumber.

amen! I can barely stand waiting on you guys with sidekits, I'd probably choke someone with they're nice reflective vest if I had to wait behind a guy to call for permission to turn a coil.:biggrin_25522:
