I know Systems out of Spokane, Wa their drivers carry ladders on their trucks. They teach you too, means a trainer. And as far as ZI know they still have a yard out of Gary, Indiana. They are listed in this board and Brenna would be the recruiter to talk to. Curtis is the main on the flatbed side. I beleive the reefer side mainly runs regional now out here in the west. I worked for them several years. Actually flatbed pays more per mile then reefer any way. I have unloaded many a load for a little extra money myself. Yes a female throwing 150 lb boxes of meat. But I just could not bring myself to even consider trying to throw tarps in high winds. But they sure had alot of gals who could and did. Beleive tho they just list as TWT
Oh and have free showers and when I worked there laundry was 25cents to wash and the same to dry(supply your own soap and fab softner) but I seem to remember they had a some you could buy in some yards out of a wall dispenser. and the coffee and tea and hot chocolate was free out of any of their yards. If you needed towels you had to get from office while it was open.
For some of us it would be, but not for the "multi-tasking, super-truckers" among us. I sorta figure he/she has to be either a driver-trainer, or a company-shill, but I could be wrong (it's happened before)... or I could be right (that's happened before, too).
He's a trainer. He was mine, but in title only. He couldn't stay off the phone long enough to "train" me. I drove through a severe rain and lightning storm in IN, IL, and OH. He was on the phone the whole time.
According to your info, you have 9 yrs exp. What kind of training do you need to drive the truck. You aren't a rookie fresh from school. My trainer spent most of is time in the bunk, which was just fine with me.
I do have 9 years. I started with a new company. I had to be paired with a trainer for a few weeks. 10-4?
Yep, I did too. I think it's mostly for securement training. Anything new on your injury? Are they still fighting your workers comp claim, like most companies do?
