***UPDATE*** I had the surgery yesterday. Doc opened up my foot and installed three screws to keep the joints together. He said that there are a couple of bones in there that look like crushed cornflakes and that there wasn't anything he could do about them. I'm going to have problems out of my left foot for the rest of my life and that I could develop arthritis in it by the time I'm 40. He did say that I can drive again, but he's putting me on full loading restriction. No more loading and unloading for me, which sucks, because that's how I got a lot of exercise. Regardless, I'll be back in the game soon. I've got this big ol' Frankenstein boot on my foot and I can't put any weight on it, but at least it's fixed. Thanks for all the texts, well-wishes, and hurry-back-soon's. I appreciate it. The truth about truck drivers is this: We look out for our own. Y'all are awesome.
Matt, that's great news. Glad to see he cleared you to drive atleast. Hopefully you'll be back on the road in no time... Take care and keep us updated.
Hey Matt can't wait to see you out here on the open road again brother. How are you looking with TMC are they going to keep you? I hope they do.
Miz, I don't know, pal. Of course, it could go either way. I could be kept on to drive or I could be ****canned. Only time will tell. But I'll let y'all know what happens as I find something out.
Glad that you got patched up A-OK. Did they give you an estimate as to how long you'll be out of commission? I don't do any loading or unloading, maybe you should go back to pulling a box! Take care my friend and thanks for the update.
Y are you saying to identify myself.and what is 9510.and yes it is fun reading all post and reading gears post is what's fun the humor in his post its nice to see drivers having fun and enjoying life. But anyway sense u ask while reading up on alot of post I noticed you was hurt so as a flat bedder how was tmc rated on trainning in des moines.
sorry to hear you got hurt --hopefully things work out ok for you--its just fate--people can fall of the top of a 13' load and be ok--and another can can fall off a drop deck and be broken up however i know a couple guys who still were working with the frankenstein boot on--makes doing the pedal work a bit complicated if it is your right foot take care and heal it up
Well country you have to understand that you didn't quote gears post so it looks as if you were saying hahaha to matt or carolina cat jack learn to push the quote button or just say to gears hahaha.
