Just remember tmc likes to claim they are the best on the road, if you can keep yourself from believing the ########, you should do ok with them
Ya, don't drink too much koolaid. They will be a good starter company for you. Some drivers make them their home. And some move on. Good luck to you.
After meeting with various recruiters today TMC might not be getting me. I will still hear the guy out next week but I'm leaning with another company that had a much closer terminal. Decisions decisions....
Spoke with TMC driver in San marcos,Tx picking up T post and he was going on his first year with Tmc . Said he loved it , pay was decent ,equipment was top notch and he said he always got home when promised . You dont meet alot of guys out here raving about the outfit they work for , dude was really loving his job . Good luck Driver
Not sure about TMC never worked there but Melton truck line DOES have you carry an 80lb tarp up a ladder to the top of a vframe (for glass and granite slabs and what not) this was at least at the Birmingham AL orientation 1 1/2 years ago aprox
I was a driver with TMC for 5 years so don't get me wrong. Every new TMC driver starting out are high on the koolaid. When they realize how much work and time away from home goes into this job next thing you know they are gone or complaining about the company they work for. TMC was good for me as a starter company, but when I realized I could only make the money they would let me make I moved on.
Boy ain't that the #### truth. Favoritism, dispatchers not wanting to go the extra mile for a driver, you name it, it happens at tmc
