I know the name of that tune....from about 8yo to 16yo, all us kids knew was trailer/broom - then it was crossdocking, yard jockey and phone work until I got paroled at 18 to join the USMC...
Tarping is not too bad, depends on the load and on the weather too. Smaller tarp on a calm warm sunny day isn't so bad. A lumber tarp on a super cold windy snowy or rainy day sucks ###. A few places will put the tarp on for you, you just gotta bungee it. Or they have tarping stations that make it easier. Most places do not though.
I liked flat bedding because you don't go to the usual spots or carry the usual loads. Plus you do get to use your brain and muscles more which is always good for the body and soul. If I do get back into it I will seek out flat bedding instead of bumping docks if I can help it.
Thanks firnatine, that's kinda what i was looking for .
I know tarping could probably be a pain somedays , but hey , if you think of it as a challenge instead of a problem things seem to go just a little bit easier.
Take care & be safe,
