CONGRATS FIRNATINE! What year and model is your truck and how many miles are on it? My trainers truck has about 440k, which from what I understand is a lot for a TMC truck but becoming more of the norm. I'm using a Verizon air card and so far it's been real good except for a handful of places where it is basically dial up. But it's had signal EVERYWHERE on some level. For the poster that asked, I drove to orientation myself and it was not a problem with TMC, but in Des Moines they do not allow you to drive to classes you have to ride the bus. I'm really glad you made it through Firna, best of luck to you and keep us posted! I'm really looking forward to my own truck as well, I get along well with my trainer who is pretty easy going but those trucks are really just big enough for one not really two. We've managed just fine, but a touch more space will be real nice!

..no updates in over 2 months, must be too depressing to report how things are going now?

..thanks riddle, i get updates thru my email so had no idea they had opened up another thread on TMC.. from what i read they are going thru what a lot of new drivers are experiencing these days, no loads & a lot of sitting; & when ur sitting ur thinking i could be sitting at home & making the same or more money so they wanna give it up & go back home.. well if i was young & had a family that i don't see for weeks at a time i would feel the same way, so i don't blame them for the decisions they are making now with the economy the way it is.. hope they keep us updated on how their local driving jobs turn out..
