I have no affiliation with TMC at all, now or in the past. I just could not help but notice how you were trying to rewrite history as if the exact year you were turned away really makes any difference. You did imply it was in 2008 so trying to discredit 1045 based on his using that year seems petty. It was clearly quite a number of years ago regardless of what year it was (you did also say they you got your own authority again “a few years back”) so as a reader I do wonder why you suddenly felt the need to post TMC in the “Report a BAD Trucking Company Here” forum after 3, 4, or 5 years, it seems very strange.

I’m not sure what part of Mack’s post you seem to think apples to me. I said nothing about TMC’s standards or hiring practices. My post only covered your comments and the impression they gave me as a reader. Ultimately the job market will decide if TMC needs to offer more than just a pretty truck to get the drivers they want. Among all the starter company’s routinely discussed on those forums they have one of the highest number of drivers that seem happy with them. Personally I would consider TMC for the training they offer and to get experience if I had none. I have no idea why you would have considered them at all as you said you had extensive experience before trying to go with them.

Frankly this all just sounds like sour grapes over their rejecting you and it is odd you are still focused on it enough years later (regardless of how many years it may be ) to make a long post about it.

 

Apparently there is a lot of ugliness under all that shiny chrome. I am really glad to hear you got your own rig on the road again. Sounds to me like you are a man who just wants to do a little work and keep a little self respect along the way. I am sure you will do well.

 

I'd suggest you get there earlier, and they won't be in your way. Last time I checked, it's first in, first out at the Beacon........

if the trucks I drive speed would match my age when I pass by you wouldn't even know what color it was. pretty soon it will match how many jobs I have had.
