I think I had "my truck" washed 4 or 5 times in 28 years. I'm not wasting part of my 10 to wash the truck even if the boss pays for it.

Inquiring minds want to know, did they give you a Confirmation Test after a 15 minute wait?
TMC showed up big time in my area a few years ago running I-95 and 495. Almost always loaded, almost always tarped.Last edited: Mar 28, 2025
D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
You won't have any problems with flatbed, even I did it successfully.

Man I must be dumb. When I drove for my old boss our trucks were washed at the shop on the weekend, sometimes I’d get a mid week wash in SLC or Idaho Falls, and sometimes I’d *gasp* wash the truck myself at the do it yourself wash in Ogden *gasp* because I like having clean stuff. I’d also polish the wheels and tanks myself in the summer. I always felt better when the truck was clean. Plus we sort of had a reputation to maintain.

There’s a reason TMC’s orientation room is so big and nearly always filled, every single week: Turnover.
There’s a reason they want newbies, instead of experienced drivers: Because experienced drivers won’t stand for their brainwashing BS.
There’s a reason they pay percentage: Skimming.
There are much better flatbed opportunities available. -
I love TMC.
Most of them cruise at 63, and most of them like to speed up when being passed - just to make things more difficult for everyone.D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
Back then it wasn't a training company you had to have driving and flatbed experience, they did have a class where they showed you how to do things the TMC way. Back then Mr Harold the owner and Walt his brother were very approachable. I drove one of the last W900 KWs before they switched to T600 it was all KW back then. Harold and Walt have both passed on . It was a good company back then , I can't say anything bad about them . I had to come off the road to help with things at home when my Dad died or I may still be there.FullMetalJacket, D.Tibbitt, Chinatown and 1 other person Thank this.
