I was in gaston about a.month ago and they are starting to retrofit the supers over to duels. Luckily my daycab had duels already. Now if i can get the supers off my trailer ill be set, but with non tmc trailer i doubt that will happen

I'm thinking of going with TMC how are they with using a clutch on their road test? I don't use the clutch unless I need to. Iv been with my company for almost ten years so it been a long time that Iv had to do a road test . Plus I'm use to a 10 speed only drove a 13 a few times 11 years ago.......thanks for any info you can give me

They are strict. If your in orientation or testing out then better use the clutch. When your with a trainer you might be able to do it your way and when you on your own you can as well.

    dropdeck Thanks this.

I saw a Freightliner Classic TMC truck yesterday while driving home. Has TMC ever used Freightliners? If so I hope I would not to get one of those because every Freighterliner I have every seen or been in has been very cheaply built and always had problems.

You have to double clutch during orientation and road test. The simulators will help you get the hang of the 13 speed. I think all of the old freightliners are o/o now. 90% are petes and the rest are kw's. The freightlines used to be ktl until tmc bought them out. From what i've heard and seen they are swapping the supers back to duals as they wear out.

The only KWs you will see are dedicated guys mostly the boat fleet. I have seen most of the white KWs at the shop in Indy sitting there so I am guessing they are getting them up for sale or something. I have n.ot seen a freightliner here yet I know they use to have a bunch but not anymore thank God.

Hey guy, I have seen a white Freightliner, at a steel location in western NC. I ASSUMED he as an o/o.
I have also seen a black 379, with TMC on the doors, pulling a dry van, on I-40 in western NC.
And, I have seen a black pete 379(?) with TMC on the doors, BUT, did not say "destination excellence" on the back. It said "JESUS"
I also assumed he was an o/o.
Oh, and I saw my 1st, and hopefully last, FILTHY TMC truck. I understand a mans gotta work, and working means rolling. This thing was nasty dirty.
Looked like a 379, but had the window in the sleeper, instead of the double bunk vents. I have NO IDEA what model truck that would be.
