    Ya it almost happened to me walked along side the load when one cut loose. Another stupid thought on tmc's part. But thats a different story.

    There is nothing wrong with carrying your own but they are not cheap. I have 5 and 5. Depending on what I am hauling I use both. Making a bulkhead with my 4x4s I use a snap. If I am tightening down a machine I will use a snap on one side and do it as tight as I can and pulling the opposite way I use a ratchet and they work against eachother. Its easier to get the rachet tighter so you do those last and undo them first. Then your snap will pop by hand usually. I wont buy any of my own just because they are so expensive.

    I'm surprised TMC hasn't gone to the EZ Binders yet? Or have they?...My binders, I can open them up almost halfway before they snap open...


    And about the ratchet binders...if you don't know what you're doing, and you overtighten them, you can stretch the chain and create weak points, and your chain will snap easier..

    For sure about stretching the chains. Just gotta know what your doing. I know my snap binders are not ez ones. Then again I dont mind using them.
