I was told that TMC is keeping trucks numbered 915xx and higher and they will get e-logs. Not sure of the fate of the long nose 379's. If they go I know a few guys who will be pissed.
Hey milskired, what is your truck's number. I'll keep an eye out for you. Naperville isn't far from me.

    Be safe.

91135. Ive heard they are keeping all of the specialized trucks because of the RGN ramps and those types of things. I dont think the new trucks would like pulling a cotton picker grossing 92k with one of those 9 speeds!

My last Pete was 91596, figured it'd be sold off by now.. (last ride for me was July 06) Heck I put 120k on her the first year. If it's still in service, should be around 720xxx thereabouts. Somebody got a nice truck haha.. I kept a towel on the OE floormats. Non-smoker, non-slob etc.. :)

Interesting to see what the elogs will do to the bottom line...

I'm not sure what the pecking order is. Story 1 of what I've heard is when the 1st 100 new trucks came in they were puting new guys in them just to get them out of Des Moines. This was put a stop to as soon as they started coming back wrecked in high numbers. I think back to when I got in my 1st truck and I would not want the pressure of getting a brand new truck while learning my way. I had enough to worry about as a new driver.
Story 2 was the newbies are going into whatever truck they were trained in.
I'm sure there are more stories out there.

Congrats! Just remember, there are no dumb questions. If your not asking, your not learning.

I agree, besides, I'd like the opportunity to drive one of those sweet 379's before they're off the road. Don't care much about the looks of that new 579. I think the trucks become a factor in a lot of drivers decision between tmc and maverick and I'm afraid tmc is gonna lose that with the new trucks they ordered.
