Who sad anything about felons on here besides the fact that TMC wont hire you if you have one on your record.
Hello I was wondering how anyone got to train at the SC facility. I live in Charlotte but I have to go to Des Moines for training. I have read through this entire thread but didnt see a direct responce on HOW they were able to go to SC to train. Thanks for all the advice and info on the forum.
Des Moines is the only training facility, but they provide transportation (bus ticket) or will re-imberse you up to a certain amount (driving yourself or airfare). There is no training areas for TMC other than this. Good luck.
There are some people that get to do their final road test in sc before being assigned their own truck as far as I know it depends on where you live.
I tested out in SC because I lived in NC at the time. Myself and 2 others then got in a paid rental car and drove to Indianapolis and got our trucks there.
No problem River. As for orientation/ training DSM is the only place to go. My last day here is Friday and I'm going to miss it, but I got a local job offer I couldn't turn down having a 6month old I want to see grow up. I will say this, the only crappy thing about TMC is a 62 MPH truck. Other then that I cant complain. Its been an awesome 2.5 years and they have treated me with the up most respect as have I them! I will still be around to answer questions though.
Good for you!! Kids grow up fast and I'm glad I got to see mine progress into adults. It went by so fast. Congrats on the little one. Soak it up.
I just honestly want to know, because I read on this forum from another member that TMC is a very good company, but it's not likely that they will hire a Black person or too many minorities. I want to know how true that is, and I would more prefer to hear a response from current workers, some of you may be racist already, so Im already expecting to hear a negative response from you guys. I just want to know if it's a waste of time to even try to apply to TMC, from the looks of it and all the TMC trucks I see that run through my state, I have NEVER seen a black person or any minority.
