TMC from the inside

You have general knowledge of trucks, basic math, open book dot test, hours of service test, policy test which is open book also.

 

ok do I need my computer for this?

 

Assignments on the company website. General Knowledge, DOT, Math, Policys, and another one I forget the name. Those are scored tests which you must take at the training center. There are about 5 others you can take at the training center or the hotel which are not scored. You'll have plenty of time to accomplish them all while in class.

 

OK thanks. What time do you return to the hotel each night?

 

It depends. Betweeen 1630 and 2100. Some groups stay late to do Sims & Backing while others leave at 1600. Appears to be different every day.

 

Thanks for the info. Do you take your computer to class with you to get done earlier with the assignments?

 

The class room is set up to where you use a company computer. Looks like a huge computer library. Everyones "desk" is actually a computer and you do all your work on it.

So no, I do not take my laptop. It stays in my room to keep me sane during down time.

So I'm looking at going to work for TMC...which is better the %pay or mileage pay?
