Yes you can. I can tell what kind of week I'm going to have in the first 3 minutes with a trainee.

As a black guy would you have honestly stayed there after the first day? If they wouldn’t have rectified the situation. I would think so much stink would have been raised that the roommate would have been sent packing. Corporations wouldn’t have touched that with a 10 foot pole. And you know it.

Yeah, they would. Until it's more than "Bob said, John said" they will take no action other than an "investigation" and separate the two of them. They will do the bare minimum to avoid lawsuits.

OK, I'm always looking to learn something, so I'm keeping an open mind. I just want to know what body language or look I need to see in order to be able to distinguish the difference between the "I hate your skin color look", the "I hate the way you sound" look and the " I hate the way your hat looks" look. I really don't have any idea. What am I looking for?

That still doesn’t answer my question. And I don’t believe you. Look at the whole me too movement. All it took was an allegation.

First of all it took a lot more than an allegation. Me Too" started in the early 2000s but didn't gain traction until 2016. It took dozens of women making complaints and a couple of journalists YEARS to take down Weinstein. "

Secondly, I've watched my company deal with these issues for the last 12 years. My company is top notch in regards to equality, but that's not saying much. They will do what's in the best interests of the company first and what's 'right' second. Until there is definitive proof they will not separate an individual for racist/sexist behavior.

"Kate" is and has been one of our best instructors, her skills and ability are second to none. She has only one flaw - her gender. Muslim students have a tendency to ignore her criticisms while accepting the same criticisms from a man. That is the primary reason that she is in her current role and not my boss. She was and is better qualified than my boss to do his job, except for dealing with the Muslim students so she was passed over.

It took a crisis for our current Safety Manager, "Tom", to be promoted into his role - a promotion he deserved for a very long time. He is the best Safety Critter I've ever worked with, but his career has been stymied because he is Pakistani. 10 years ago he applied for his current job and lost it to a frat bro who failed miserably at being Head Safety Critter and was effectively demoted. "Josephine" replaced him and was an improvement but she (like her predecessor) had never held a CDL and didn't really understand the job. When she left for greener pastures the role was covered by a number of different divisions while they tried to find a replacement. "Tom" interviewed but was not selected. We were in danger of losing a 'new' dedicated account due to safety and service issues but had no Head Safety Critter to deal with it. "Tom" went down and straightened the ever living F out of the account - starting with the driver managers. It took "Tom" 3 weeks to solve the issues that had plagued the account from startup which finally 'earned' him the promotion he should have had 8 years ago.

We have a 30 year driver who is still living in the 1970s. At this year's safety banquet some of the driver manager's had a bingo card game for Mike's racist and sexists comments. So don't tell me corporations are gung ho about ending racist/sexist behaviors.

As to your first question "As a black guy would you have honestly stayed there after the first day?" - it depends on how badly a person needs a job. For context please watch "The Toy" starring Richard Pryor.

If 470 words are too long for you to read then you have no business discussing these topics.

There is no point in reading your 470 words. It’s all BS and a waste of my time.
