Rather have a Canadian load than a Mexican bound load .

canadian or mexican in-bound freight/load i still say that no matter what the load pays the driver it's not enough for the headache that comes along with it!

you don't need a passport to cross into canada or mexico if you are a truck driver.

Get a FAST card instead. It's a LOT cheaper to get.

I was put on to it by a very good friend of mine who works for the CBP in Minnesota at one of the ports of entry.

Also the company can apply for and get a border crossing sticker which will not require the driver to pay the $10.50 fee every time they come back to the states.
