LOL, sounds like TMC Survival. Quite entertaining actually. I've been a driver for over 20 years and I've never been through anything like that. Makes you wonder what kind of criteria they use. Maybe you have to be in the top 10% of the tire thumpers elite steering wheel holders unit.
I know, if you don't scratch your bum according to your FMCSR Daily Inspection, you don't make the cut. Have a cup of diesel and keep looking.

TMC is a scam and a rip off. Dont waste your valuable time there. They promise you a job but thats not true. You do not have a job and probaly wont get "hired". the instructors are lazy and dont care. this could screw you in the end. no pay raises ever and they have cut pack pay scales now. they have been getting rid of older drivers to hire new ones with alot lower pay. TRUST ME DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR FAMILY MONEY HERE. R U N !!!!

Dont waste your time here. They are in it for the money they get from the govenment for "hiring" people. The instructors dont care and are nasty. they say you have a job but thats a lie. out of 50 guys or so you will be lucky at the end if 5 get a job. I know this from inside knowledge. unless you can do everything PERFECT. otherwise only go here if you have nothing to lose. if you are counting on money for your family go somewhere else cause this just might be a big waste of time for you.
oh yeah and when you are out training on the road the instructors are either sleeping in the truck with you or too busy on the cell phone. some will even get in the bunk and fall asleep with you by yourself in a truck. -
Wow. What are the chances that TMCSucks will elaborate? Probly slim and none. Most likely went to orientation and discovered that he has a bad driving record, police record or some such. That, or discovered that he really couldn't do the job and is blaming it on the company and not himself. It's always someone elsed fault.

someone who comes on a message board and picks a name like TMC_Sucks and posts in bold red must be really pissed about something....if things don't get better soon including the weather, I might have to change my name to "trucking_sucks" but I choose to continue on instead of going with the ole "unemployed_sucks".

If You think that TMC is a good Place to make money, you may need a Drug Test!
I think the Real deal here is the Driver has just "Discovered" that "TMC is a Driver Mill" and the Pretty Trucks are being paid for by the "Wheel Monkey" behind the Steering Wheel!Last edited by a moderator: Feb 10, 2010

I have to agree. They'll hire an experienced driver at a good percentage, then do everything they can to keep you at the bottom of their sliding payscale with the new guys. They did it to me, guess that's why I'm working somewhere else now. My loyalty doesn't go with a black truck, it does, however, go with a paycheck. But with all the money they're saving from the drivers paychecks, at least ole Harry's idiot kid can keep up his loosing racing career. IMO, the payscale is just the tip of the iceburg of things that's wrong with that place. I'm sure there's nothing I could say about them that hasn't already been said, but if anyone has questions, feel free to ask. I just left there 2 weeks ago. -
i got this careless attitude from the recruiter when i called. as if he didn't want to explain anything after i told i had over 3yrs. i asked him did the trucks have an APU on them - "yes, some of the do but NOT the one you would be in" - then i ask what is the idle policy and he explained if you idle 'too much' they take is off the top of your %pay. (more head scratching) which is why im posting on here. i thought maybe to apply there to get flatbed exp. so im looking elsewhere. did you make more on % or milage? ...oh,maybe i can ask those out here... where is a good place to start to get flatbed exp, other than 'take my cash' companies?

I was working for PFT Roberson at the end of 2004 when the Roberson side of the company folded and was bought out by Annette Holdings, which is basically TMC. They terminated me without reason. Didn't bother to tell me either, just sent a notice to my home. Found out later I was no longer in their hiring area. Thought it was kind of cowardly way to handle it, but that's all I really know about them.
