tarp fees are norm over 50 bucks a week and can be as much as 125. But, TMC bases pay on performance, not experience. A newbie at TMC has the potential to make as much as the 10 year veteran. That being said, most new drivers dont make over 600/week average. Out for 4 weeks he should average a little higher.

TMC gets you home almost every week-end if you want to. Pay is gonna be around 800-1100 depending on performance.

Guys can someone tell me how the freight is for a tmc driver living in Mississippi or Georgia. Also how long will they make me go out with a trainer. I have FB experience and I have been Otr for a year.
-
Probably 2 or 3 weeks with a trainer to make sure you do stuff the TMC way. They will decide while your in orientation. Your in an ok freight area, so after training you should get home weekly.D1-2c Thanks this.

How does idling truck affect your pay or do they have apu

you get anywhere from 26-31% pay. One of the factors that decides what % you get is MPG. Better MPG and a better chance to get higher pay.
Idling is aloud, but idle to much and your mpg drops. new trucks have bunk heaters to eliminate winter idle, but no A/c while truck is off -
Hi Richter..I am considering TMC..so you say a new driver should expect to bring home less than 600 per week? How long before most reach the 800-1100 if performance is good?
arichter1966 Thanks this. -
If performance is good, your first "snap shot" could have you up making a lot more money. I believe it's he month after your first full month or something like that where you'd get your first snap. Even making 26% you can make good money. Just depends how you drive and how quick you work. Just be safe.

Most new drivers don't know how to do proper time management. Figuring out how to maximize your hos, get on a good sleep schedule, learn how to secure quickly etc takes time. You have the potential to make the big bucks right away, but it takes most new drivers 3-6 months to really get everything stream lined. Your fm also needs time to figure out how you work. Do you like longer runs, shorter runs, more home time, more money, like nights etc. My priority is most money and home time is low priority. My FM tries to get me into the best freight lanes since home time is not a concern. he also knows i like longer 2 day runs if available, so he tries to get me that longer freight. So, you may make more then 600 your first few weeks, but its unlikely you will see 1000-1100 within your first 3 months. You can certainly prove me wrong though.

I don't think nights will matter much now that you can't drive from what is it, 0100-0400? For solo company drivers that is.
