It all depends on how well you perform. You will go through a securement class, if you have a blank look on your face, expect to go out with a trainer. You will have a driving test in a long nose Pete 379, 13 speed. I hope you can drive one. You will also back a spread axle 48' trailer. Remember to get out and look at least once.

If you do well in orientation, you may not have to go out with a trainer. Good luck.

Looking for Wisconsin TMC drivers, wondering how much home time they get?

You do not tarp in orientation. All I got was being taken out onto a snow/ice covered parking lot unrolling a tarp and folding and rolling it back up. My class was an abreveated class so we didn't have to do it, but some classes had to carry a lumber tarp up a ladder. Or so was the rumor. I haven't, actually, talked to anyone who had to do this.
