Call Swift, see if they will take you. Our flatbed department isn't to bad. I like running the east coast.Granted we do not have shiny Petes, but we have Freightliners and we are slowly replacing them all with 2010 models like the one i drive. It cant hurt to ask!! If you have questions feel free to PM me or check out my posts under Swift.

maybe TMC discriminated against you because you were Army? Doesn't TMC stand for Truckers marine Corps?
Just pulling your leg, former Jarheard here, I wish you the best were ever you end up:biggrin_25525:

Not sure if you are dead set on flatbed but I jumped over in the Watkins Shepard section and those guys seem real happy. Lot's of miles and no trainer if you already have a CDL. Just a 10 day orientation and off you go.

I am seriously considering them after I go through school. Just a thought.

I've seen quite a few black TMC drivers guess you were just unlucky.

No I guess they already met their quota for that orientation and not in just blacks but drivers period because I don't wanna accuse them of being racist but like I said it is what it is I was really looking foward to working for and with TMC but when they called my school and lied on my name that was the last straw.

Another company to try is Western Express, I shot the crap with a former Swift flatbed driver who works for them now. The seem to pay ok he said, he said hes doing better than he did with Swift.(He was a lease operator) Not to sure if i believe him, but who knows.
Their trucks are pretty nice flat top cascadias with a pretty decent headache rack, ok i really liked his headache rack had places to properly secure everything without strapping crap everywere and anywere.
Also look at Melton. They have nice trucks, they go 65 and have nice trailers.
Their is other options out their keep your head up you will find something!!
