I bet it is very hard to be in your situation. I am wanting to get into trucking and have read several post on trainers, good and bad. I can see where you are coming from not wanting to come off as a whiner but I think I would contact the company and let them know what is going on. I would be really ticked off if I was in your position. I just hope if and when the time comes that I get a good trainer.
Good luck and keep us posted.

Well, you've done the only thing that can be reasonably expected of you as an adult, aside from just ignoring it.
Just get a new trainer, driver.
Not the most fun of situation, the exact same thing happened to the trainee after me (Who I incidentally ended up becoming great friends with, we still joke about ol` nasty Wally and the piss jugs. lol!) -
the trainer doesnt even need to know you taddled on him from you. One of my trainees requested a new trainer once and he didnt even tell me there was a problem. We did have a bit of a personality conflict, and he was a lazy kid, but you can go strait to your Training coordinator without going through your trainer. Who is your TC? Do you have Jamie by any chance?

TMC will not only fire you from training but fire you from the company if a trainee has a picture of piss jugs in your truck. It is strictly forbidden in general but even more so with trainees in the truck. That being said, unless it gets reported gross trainers still get by. for some reason trainees fear their trainers....really trainees have rights to.thebeat32 Thanks this.

Guys...whoa..relax a bit..breathe in,breathe out..ok..thats better..look driver,it probably sucks but i would keep going..you dont have much training left..think..i am Christian so i want to be like CHRIST..what would He do???I think you should just be polite and say that you wish to not discuss your beliefs and then turn it around and make him feel important by complimenting him on his job..this always works..believe me..ive been there..put the person on a pedestal and they will always act nice...if after your training you decide to talk to management then that would be ok and you would look more credible in their eyes...good luck and stay safe..

Greenhorn, big mistake getting off this trainers truck. Nothing about this industry coddles the driver. This guy being annoying which is what he is to you, is preparing you for an industry that constantly disappoints and annoys drivers. You need to develop extraordinary patience, discipline, and tolerance to make it out here. Training is a short time/one time thing. Pay your dues and you'll be free to run your own ship before you know it.

He didnt get off his trainers truck yet, they are broke down in a hotel together. I was more concerned about the phone use and "being all over the road". Either way the trainers conduct is inappropriate. Its the Op's choice if he wants to stick it out or not. TMC may find him a new trainer anyway depending on how long it takes to fix his truck
