TMC has no on board camera or mics. To say they are spying on you is BS. They do monitor location via qualcome, but most companies do that. Also, washing is only required every 2 weeks, not every week. Normally you can find some slow day with a wash on route within 2 weeks. If you dont wash on time, you dont need to on the way home. They will give you a warning the first few times you forget within 2 weeks and eventually a slight pay decrease, but that's only after multiple offenses and it goes away after a month.
As for number of terminals, i think its 5. (DesMoint Ia, Indy In, Joplin MO, Gaston SC, and i'm missing one.)
As for prepass info, they have prepass in all their trucks. In the last 1l5 years I have gotten 2 red lights. We almost always get green lighted of its a prepass sight.
Equipment is getting dated, but they are replacing the whole fleet within the next 6 months. Every0one will have brand new 579's with a cummings motor, 9 speed trans, bunk heater, 20 inch tv.
FYI, I worked for TMC for 1.5 years and only quit to become an owner operator. If i stayed a company driver i would have stayed. If you work hard you can make tons of money. I averaged $1230 a week my first year and arounf 1600 when i was a trainer. They are a bit strict on cleaning the truck before service, but you only have to deal with is every 40k miles.

Wonder what kind of trainees they are getting through their school, I saw and heard on the cb one of the drivers cursing out another driver for not going fast enough through the pilot in bath ny, after he almost took my hood off while flying around the parking lot. Way to stay classy, tmc.

I find it interesting that people will get on these threads and just rant all the bad things about a company. Let me break some news to you, not every company is going to be a good fit for everyone else. I am a 10 yr Infantry vet and I have had my time in enough ##### to laugh at all the petty crying that I see on here, not just this thread. I do not drive for TMC, but I have kept them on my radar as a possibility. I have friends that drive for other big companies, and I hear different likes and dis likes about them all. Listen if you can't follow a predetermined set of guidelines that your employer has put in front of you, then maybe you should not be working for them. The "Trucker Marine Corps" as some call them. I have found through reading this particular thread, that former drivers either have poor time management skills, laziness, lack of discipline, or even one I seen on youtube.....just plain ignorant. Now if TMC did not work out for you, then so be it. Please stop spamming threads with inaccurate information, and falsifications of facts about said company. Now with that said, please be safe out there because your family and my family are on the same roads and waiting for our safe return home.....

Did you happen to take a look at this sub-part of the forum?
Report A BAD Trucking Company Here
Doll Parts Thanks this. -
Yes formertaxidriver I did. It is a general statement.....I was going on about crying and complaining, not legitimate issues with a company (ie) truck maintenance, DM's telling you to run illegal, not getting paid for loads completed. I just don't understand most people because of my back ground. I started working when I was 12 on a farm and have been either working or doing college ever since. I guess I should stay out of these types of forums, because some of the post that I read I just can't wrap my head around....
Anyways...be safe out there.....

I was never a number and made more money then at your new home. I was also on specialized but on LH I did make very good money. Living in the Chicagoland area had a lot to do with that. Plus who wants to drive an auto LOL. Just poking funMJ1657 Thanks this.

My question is how many of the people in this thread have actually driven for TMC and are not just going off of hearsay? I know I use to, 2.5 years and it was an awesome job. The only reason I am no longer there is because I was offered a local job where I am home every night with my wife and 9 month old daughter and I still make as much or more some weeks. I also made 74K in 2012 for those of you that say you cant make money at TMC. I will sat you are either lazy or just don't know how to manage your time.

Well even though your Army and I was in the Corp, and we are both alike in our MOS(Machine Gunner), we see eye to eye on this. If your looking at them for a job when you get out, I say go for it. You will like it especially since you are no stranger to work.
I have had a former TMC driver who now works for Keen try to get me to come over there. I did the math and I made more money then him. I was also treated with respect and was never lied to in my 2.5 years. -
I actually worked for to much chrome.
