Eckz,
Making $60,000 a year how often is your hometime? My husband is in CDL school and we have all these apps to consider, TMC is one of them that seems pretty good but hometime is important to us. Thanks for your info.

GOSH! We were leased to Watkins-Shepard and hauled TMCs frt, they traded loads. TMC would tell WS not to send a diryt truck or it would'nt be loaded. I love that. If you drive my truck and ge tit dirty and don't wash it for a month it's Bye Bye. TMCs trucks look like thy have some pride. I see some trucks I would'nt fuel they are so filthy. go ahesd, make fun of TMC. They'd get all my freight.

Hello,
I am a trucker's wife who's husband is currently working for TMC...who also says that it stands for "Too Much Chrome" LOL... the trucks are really nice, and have chrome on the back... anyway this is a really good company to work for! I would recommend it to anyone who was looking to drive! Since we live in TX he is Texas dedicated, he's home almost every other night and off on the weekends, he brings home really good money too!jimbo29, Rawlco and austinbevo Thank this. -
How fast do there trucks go, and when you take it home do you take the trailer too. Thanks and be safe.

Well it is time to put my 2 cents worth in. With all the stuff that I've read on here why would anyone want to be in trucking buisness? If your company isn't screwing you then it is the DOT. If they aren't screwing you then it is your brother trucker. If they aren't screwing you then it is someone within the company. With all the BS you have to put up with why do you do it. I have allways wanted to become a truck driver. Now is my chance. I have an offer from TMC or Arrow. Not sure I still want to do it. Someone tell me if I'm right or wrong about this. Is it worth the hasle and heartache?

If you have always wanted to drive truck, then go for it. Your attitude always makes or breaks you in the biz. Go in with a crap attitude, and you will get crap. Go in with a good attitude, and you stand a much better chance of succeeding. It's not always a hassle and heartache. It really only is that way if you let it be. There are good days and bad days, but you have that in any business, any job.

As a former TMC driver that started driving back in the 80's.If you drive Texas dedicated i dout he is making real good money. They offered it to me and i turned it down because it was less that i was making otr.
And it depends on what fleet manager you get depends on if you make any money. If you go percentage you get low paying loads with long miles. If you take milage pay you get short miles with high paying loads.
They are just like any big company out there they will
do everything they can to squeeze every penny they can out of you. They just let you drive a big shiney truck. The reason i don't work there anymore is i don't like being lied too.And they will.
Anyone who is planning on taking a driving for a big company check to see if they pay practicle miles because TMC don't . I you used a GPS and was short changed a average of 10 to 30 miles on loaded miles and bounce miles both.
Sorry for the rant but i wanted to let anyone know what you be getting into before you drive for them. -
Actually, my husband makes really good money regardless of what u think. Maybe you didn't make money or weren't offered a decent amount, but my husband brings home a lot of money... and he is texas dedicated... otr can make more money, thats true, ut he does really good and gets about 5 loads a week... I think that TXraptor is very wrong bouthis statements! and should probably speak for himself, my husband is not milked for $ at all with this company...just thought I shoudl set the record straight!
Rawlco Thanks this. -
And no i don't speak for myself.I am still in contact with many drivers there and they are looking for something else because they are not making the money they were told and what was printed on there website. Maybe what i think is good money and what you think is good maybe two different things.
As someone who has been out here on the road for a long time i do know what good money is and what a good company is and how they treat there employee's .And TMC is neither . And beleive me when i say i'm not a disgruntled driver i just went somewhere where i can get payed for what i do.
And i am glad to here your husband and you are happy with TMC
