..how did u manage to drive 5000mi & gross only $770; are u still on training pay at $360 a week? At a minimum of .30 a mi. u would gross $1500 not counting ur tarp pay if u earned it.. if the $770 was a split of the 5000 mi. then u need to clarify how they came to pay that amt..
..I've been to the TMC website & there is alot of good info there, especially the videos of their training.. they also have a page set aside for a pic of their monthly graduating class, which is a 1st for any trucking company that trains it's drivers that i have visited.. one for each of their training facilities in IA & SC! The IA graduating class had 30 students, the SC class had 17 for this month! Just look for the 'EXTRAS' tab on top of the Training page & u can see them..
..i dont care for the 379 Pete's either but I bet they will be phasing those out for the newer 387's or 386 Hybrid models, & no inverter allowed in the cab?? what, they expect a driver to eat out every day, that gets expensive.. a microwave can save u lots of money over a yrs time compared to paying for fast food or truck stop meals every day!
..there are a lot of other items that are a plus for this company, like the way they maintain & service their trucks, this is really a plus because u can't make money if u aint movin & this is one of the issues that frustrates a lot of drivers that constantly have their trucks in the shop.. a good company takes care of it's trucks as well as it's drivers..

JPenn: I live an hour south of you in Scranton, PA. I'm heading off to CDL school next week and am considering TMC. Are you routed through this area much? Are you regional or national with TMC? Thanks, GD
-
It is quite simple. He posted his miles for two weeks, but we are paid weekly.
You can get 12 Volt appliances to both cool and heat food, but inverters have caused too many fires. After losing a few trucks worth over $100,000 TMC decided to prohibit inverters. Besides a decent 12v stove capable of heating any non perishable food item costs less than $20, and you can't get a decent inverter for less than $50. -
Scranton is heavily traveled by TMC trucks. I traveled I-84 a LOT so you shouldn't have any trouble getting home every weekend. There is enough activity in eastern PA that TMC is actively searching for a location on I-81 in PA to put in a full service terminal with repair shops, fuel pumps, and a trailer drop yard.Arthur Dent Thanks this.

TMC trucks are governed to 65 mph, unless you are very bad then you get turned down to 60 mph for a month.

TMC requires you to keep your trailer hooked up when you are parked. Too many trailers have been stolen to allow you to just leave your trailer somewhere while you bobtail home. When you get home on weekends you will be under a load to be delivered monday. -
Rawlco: Thanks for your reply, this will make my wife very happy. I'll give TMC a call Monday. -
terrylamar do you work for tmc because i that about trying them out

I did work for TMC. I had an offer out of the blue come my way and I took it. It was not because I had any bad feelings about TMC. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to and is willing to work hard for a decent wage.
I haven't worked for them since August. My information and experience is starting to get a little dated. I suggest you contact Rawlco or EKCZ about any matters concerning TMC.
If what I am doing right now ever falls through, I would not hesitate to go back to TMC. -
I'll be glad to answer any questions about TMC to the best of my ability. I still work for them, as does Rawlco, like Terry said. Any questions, just ask. I try to get on here at least a few times a week.

That's depressing.
I was sooo interested in them.
