its an 07 with the pre DPF C-15. I feel like I am treated very fairly. I mean at first they I guess you could say put you to the test on everything just to make sure this is for you. Do you know what I mean by that?

Yes I do...... I felt the same way at orientation but it just was the way they talked down to me when I told them I had a disability that occured while I was in Iraq 4 years before they talked as if I should have known better then to show up at a orientation without a realease.

Miz860 good luck at pgt .....keep us up to date on everything. I'm looking for a better job after the new year. What is the difference between a 379 and a 388? I'm not to familiar with Pete's. I don't care for the 387. I have been stuck in a freightshaker for years.

A few years ago,my son, fresh out of Tractor Trailer school was recruited by TMC.If I'm not mistaken, you go to DesMoines,Iowa for orientation. If this is the same place your talking about,-------look for another place. The orientation my son went to started right after Labor day, which would be Tuesday. He called me every day to let me know how it was going, and by Thursday I told him to leave. For one thing, they pull flatbeds which in itself is ok,if you like tarping. But he was told that if he for instance picked up a load of steel and didn't go to a scale to find out if he was legal, then if he crossed a state run scale and was overloaded on any axle,he,not the company, was responsible for calling a wrecker to come and redistribute his load so he was legal, for which he had to pay for, plus the ticket for being overloaded! If he picked up a load of roofing and when he got to the customer to which it was intended for and they came up short,he was responsible for the shortage. If he had an accident, like backing into a light pole he didn't see,he was responsible for the deductible!!I believe with this company, your not a driver, but and indentured servant!!!Don't walk,RUN!!!

Ok so if you back into something because you didnt see it how is any company responsible for your screw up? As for the checking to see if your over weight on a scale deal, if you dont scale a load your questionable on again how is that on the company? That is called laziness and not caring if your over weight when you have the ability to check your weight on a CAT scale. Thats like saying they should pay for a speeding ticket you get in there truck because you know the laws yet failed to look at your speedometer and follow the speed limit. From the way I read this your saying that TMC is the only company to do this??? You said the first problem is they are flatbed, if you went to the orientation expecting something else well you were either misinformed or just blind. If you read anything on TMC one of the first things that is said about them is "TMC Transportation is the largest privately owned FLATBED carrier"....

If i'm making the wage on an indentured servant then so be it. I dont know of many places to start out a trucking career, have awesome equipment, be home almost every weekend, and take home 800-1000 bucks a week. Call me what you want for being a TMC driver and not having a problem telling people that. I take pride in driving for them and enjoy it very much.

O one last thing is if you take your truck empty and full of fuel, get the weight of it on a CAT scale, and know how to load a spread axle properly you should not be over weight EVER as long as the BOL has the correct shipping weight on it. I rarely ever scale my truck because I know how to properly place a load on the trailer. Pretty simple, 12-18 inches back from center.

Well....DUH!!!! Of course the driver is responsible. I just went to the bathroom and pee'd on my shoe, but I blamed my parents for not potty training me correctly. Give me a break!
