I just graduated here at TMC it wasn't easy you have to want it. but I feel like I'm at home with family here now ! Any questions let me know ill get to them as I can
-
What are those 3 tests you take ? Math, general knowledge, and something else. And how hard is it ? I'm not a good test taker especially if it comes to math. Basic math I'm alright at especially if a calculator is present lol. Thanks
-
The tests are not that difficult. Math test consists of basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) with some word problems. An example question may be: If you leave at 1300 and drive 60 mph for 5 hours. How many miles would you have traveled? General Knowledge is just that - general knowledge on the trucks. Then there's the FMCSA regulations test. You pick up a regulation book and for each question, you go to the section and read it and answer the questions. Simple but time consuming. Hope this helps.

Yea thanks alot. And we get to use calculators right ?
-
Yea, calculators were OK.indianaEMT Thanks this.
-
Hey Papa, yes you get to use calculators.
-
Does the experienced class have to do the math tests too? If so can I use the calculator on my phone?
-
I just thought about that also. But I'm assuming if I use the calculator on my phone, the training coordinator will think I'm just playing with my phone. I'm not taking that risk. Excited to start orientation on Sept 3. Hope to see some more experienced drivers there with me

Yes, experienced hires will have to take the math test. They have a calculator on the computer when you are taking the math test.
Willie56 Thanks this.
