One of our drivers was with parrot when mav bought them out. He has been flatbedding for over 40 years. I asked him what he thought of maverick and he had no complaints. Come to think of it you are the only one complaining and you don't even work there anymore.:biggrin_2556:

I have an idea what the MAV IC operator was thinkin' when he was running northbound OH route 4 on Christmas day 2006.Had a lode of fence post holes/ dispatcher brains/ and Volkswagon radiators. The lone 18 on route 4 that day.

NoTarps4me made it our bussines with his far fetched dreams and animal control is calling him out. Even a handle will do. DREAMER

Maverick is NOT 48/USA/CANADA/MEXICO/Several 20+ year drivers ect .or whatever a 10 month/less than/same thang rookie imagines and post on the internet.

A crude but true comparison between MAV and TMC is the Driver of the year with TMC since day one in 1972 is a dude and 2007 Driver of the year with Maverick was a Gal. So if anyone is torn between the two this may help with the route that applys to yourself.

Send another $400 referal check to unit# 9201 THX..

My question would have been somthing like "what the heck are you still doing hauling this crummy load of steel outa this crummy mill like myself if you started in 1966?.

Keep your mind on whats important. Bad guy

Lessee - 14 year old information from a disgruntled ex-employee, who spent "a year there", but can't dates well enough to figure that 5-10-07 to 5-4-08 is oh.. maybe SIX DAYS SHORT OF A FULL YEAR? So.. I think I'd go with a current year of experence over a bitter year of experience that's 14 years old.

WTF does this have to do with anything? Are you possibly suggesting that maybe women can't be fantastic drivers? Or could it be that TMC simply has a lower set of standards than Maveric. The whole paragraph means absolutely nothing. Well, other than you are obviously sexist.

"My little Black Cloud" is a thread NoTarps4me started a year ago and FYI Lurchgs it was about his multiple ordinary problems and a desire to go back on the road, without recent experience. Not his hire on date which is unkown by myself, and most everybody else due to his evasive nature and the "Near as I can tell" part of my previous messege.

So if your looking for advise on what big box store to shop for your next appliance by all means believe NoTarps4me. There ain't NoBlueCloudOnMe.

TMC set the bar for Maverick Transportations standards.

No point for me to correct any more misinformed conclusions or explain the odvious reality of society.

First off if it was any of your business I would tell you my hire date, but it isn't. I am just under a year. You have a crappy outlook on everything and always complain about things from 14 years ago. Try letting go and maybe you won't be so bitter all the time. I am not a new driver and have drove for 5 companies. Mav is by far the best co I have driven for. I have no complaints worth mentioning. Everything I have with them is top shelf. They get me home on the weekends. I make decent money and when something comes up at home they make sure I am there. Daughter had surgery and they got me there. Was under a load and had to fix something at home and they sent a driver to get my load. He brought me an empty and I took a week off. They deadheaded me home for 8 or 10 hours to be home for Thanksgiving. They get us home for Christmas so why would I not be happy with them?

I don't see you talking about your co. All I see you do is complain about mine. You are not maverick material and that is probably why you are so bitter. Maverick is selective in who they hire and who they keep. They weed out the ones that reflect a negative imagine on their company. Gee I wonder why they were not a good fit for you???? You seem like such a positive driver.:biggrin_2556: After reading the reponses to those who have commented about the difference between you and me I don't have to defend anything I have posted. As long as you keep posting the posters can decide for themselves who to listen to and who to ignore.

Semper Fi, brother. With your avatar the decision should be simple. One of TMC's well know names is:

    Trucker
    Marine
    Corps

What I like best, there are many best. Top equipment. Who doesn't want to drive a brand new 379 Pete? Yeah, you are expected to keep it clean, so what, take pride in what you drive.

Great support staff, from your Fleet Manager on up. Even other drivers. I get out and help whenever I can, I've beem helped many times. Just as in the Marine Corps we have Esprit de Corps. Everything from waving to each other on the highway to helping.

You can make $60,000.00 your first year as a driver. How many companies can claim this. Is it easy, no, you have to have every break and work your butt off. If you are a go getter you will do well at TMC. An average will be about $45K to $50K.

What I don't like. We can't have inverters. Idle Air isn't paid for. We don't have APU's. We are expected to keep our idle time down. In the extreme temperatures of Winter in the North and the Summers in the South this is hard to do and survive.

I'm sure there are other positives and negatives I'm not thinking about right now. I just came off 11 long hours of driving and my brain is numb from sitting on it all day!:biggrin_25523: Ask anything speicific and I'll try to post more in the days to come.

I didn't want to start an argument! LOL, Semper Fi! I think both companies are probably strong. But I am just curious what everyone HONESTLY likes and dislikes about their company. Terrylamar, thanks for your input that is the type of information I am looking for. Everyone stay safe out there. I am due to start School the 12th. If I don't get the bank managers job that just came up recently.
