    lil Slick,

You get your insurance after 90 days with the company. All trucks come with Satellite radio. There is no GPS!! But I would recommend getting one when you have the money. The Hubby says it's a life saver, but double check your route because you can have a high Out Of Route. You don't want that...lol

You will do the road test after you are with your trainer for five weeks.

    Izyby,

There is sirius for the radio, there are no fridges or microwaves. YOu can get a fridge with a car adapter from walmart for about $100, you won't need this until you are done with your trainer. No inverters, so make sure when you get something for the truck it already has the converter. My hubby says there was no big difference between the 10 speed and 13 speed, you will adjust. TMC has simulators and if I remember correctly when he was in training, he was on them 2 or 3 times. Also, I do remember that there was a road test before you went out with your trainer and one after. Most guys had a problem with the backing part of the test. Also, I have been told that you are with your trainer for 5 weeks instead of 6 now. If you have any other questions feel free to PM me and I will gladly answer everything I can for you.

Does TMC own TDT or have any relations with that company? I was at a local pilot and saw what appeared to be a TDT truck with TMC info on the drivers side door of a KW T800.

TMC has 13 spds. We were leased to a co and traded loads w/TMC. They required a large car or would'nt give up the load because some customers did'nt want a dirty truck in their yd. Ony thing I don't like about any company is they regulate truck speeds and ours would top out at 91. Out west you can run 80 from Sydney to Lincoln and if you don't have to stop be bored to death at 65. I'd go to TMC first if I needed a job.

hi guys just a quick update to all thinking of joining TMC... Let me start off by saying I am in Columbia sc for orientation. They are top notch and really get you prepared for your trainer by giving you 2 weeks to prepare, with class, and range time. Yes the first day is paperwork and pee test. But other than that, it is a good place and am glad to have choosen them.

    Izyby,

You are quite welcome, I hope I answered your questions. As for a TV well he bought one at a truck stop so it already had the adapter. They are a little more expensive, but when he was called into Indy for his truck to be serviced he didn't have any problems. Hope this helps. Congrats on choosing TMC we have not had any problems.
