I'm looking forward to seeing him again now that I'm no longer with TMC.

That is really funny! And do what? Something that you weren't man enough to do once you were in your own truck? I understand that you really couldn't do anything while you were in orientation (Job Interview?). He was in a job that had to be done and he was very good at it. If you would have taken the time to get to know him after you got into your own truck then maybe you would appreciate why he was like that to the student drivers. My 2 cents.

Yeah it's real manly to throw your job away because you have no self control. I never saw him when I was in my own truck fortunately, only during orientation. There is no excuse to treat grown men like children, none of us are there on a dare, we are all just trying to make a living. I'm not with TMC anymore and I won't be losing my job addressing him in the appropriate fashion. It is highly unlikely I would ever see him again. I'm sorry for insulting your friend, but he's a piece of ####.

The first time I ever met the guy he didn't give me that great of an impression. I asked him a simple question and he treated me like I was nobody and he was king. Although I have been with this company long enough to know what my job is and how I have to do it and still make money with out doctoring things. So a guy like him don't bother me.

They do, but not many. You need to be with the company for 2 years before they will let you on specialized, or have something like 5 years exp doing it at another company. And there aren't that many of them, the ones that they have are for a specific account (mostly deere)

L/O? No. O/O? Yes, quite a few. I don't think they "lease" the trucks in the traditional sense that you are implying, it's more like you buy one of their trucks and it's yours as long as you continue to make the payments on it. You are free to do what you want with it, as well as take it and lease it on to another company.. The only thing is that if you use their bank for financing before you can "walk" away with the truck you need to pay off a minimum of around 10-15% becuase when they sell you a truck with their banks financing they guarantee the bank that you will make the truck payments by way of hauling their freight.

I was going to buy an extended hood from them years ago, just never got around to it. I think freight is too bad to do something like that now, it's probably worse for TMC than most other companies because they have always hauled cheap freight, and now there is less of it.

thanks fo tthe info. I know that they dopnt have a traditional lease purchase program i was refering to leasing a truck onto them, as u described. my next quesiton was if they woulod assist in purchasing one of their trucks from black and chrome. i guess you answered it, its seems as if they would by your response. what kinda payments are they getting on them, do u know? i know it all depends on credit score, down payment etc etc. so they mpstly run flats unless for JD huh. I thgoht for sure they would run more different type of trailers.

Flats, RGN, Stepdeck. Some have conastoga's, some are curtainside, some are quad axle.. but above all, they are still all flats.. =P

Yes, they do assist you in purchasing a truck, I think the extended hood i was looking at was an 07 with 350k on it, They wanted around 400 a week? But this was 2.5 years ago so it may have changed.. If you like the football helmet look, they have a TON of those heavy 387's for sale, and they are practically giving them away in the 30k range.. You should check it out.

Google black and chrome sales. btw if you do a year or more with them i'd imagine it would be easier to buy a truck from them.. Just a personal observation.. Plus it helps if you want to stay with them because as a company driver you get the feel for how they do things without assuming much risk.

Hope that helped, good luck to ya!
