Is there anyone else going tgo orientation on the 6th?

 

January 3rd for me, possibly one other guy from my class too.

Well I'm curious, this is probably a weird question but being that tmc is own by military vets and they want to make sure you're fit, ready and willing to work for their company, will they have you work out as well, like make you run miles, do push ups, etc.

 

Lol no but I am a vet so even if they did I would. But no they don't make you do physical training except securement training.

 

There is no requirement to work out. The hotel at orientation is a nice facility and does have a weight room with machines, hot tubs, sauna, and indoor pool. You will have to demonstrate your ability to lift and carry a lumber tarp, and climb up on trailer only using your arms. Exercise is totally up to you, but is a good idea unless you are already in good shape.
The lumber tarp is about 100 pounds and must be lifted from the floor and carried on your shoulder to a trailer, set up on top of a coil, taken back off the coil, removed from trailer, and carried back to your starting point.

 

How much does TMC pay for tarping ur own truck?
I'll probably be starting on DEC. 20th is there any one else starting on that day.

 

This monday for me I dont think they have a class on the 20th I think it's the 13th and then the 3rd but I'm not sure.

 

the recruiter told me they start every monday, i would go on the 13th but i test out that weekend, So i need time to test get my certificate, get my license from secretary of state.

 

They wanted me to go on the 13th but I'm trying to get this done.
