check your vin plate on ur door jam im telling ya its a 378 if its 07 or older unless u got the straight long hood then THAT is a 379 again 07 or older 08 and newer is a 388 if it has a short hood and 389 if it has a long hood wheelbase and sleeper size has nothing to do with it even for tmc i can get the same exact bunk in and of peterbilt trucks except for the football helmet 387. i have been seeing a lot of tmc 379's latley but they are mostly pulling RGN and double drops but the shear majority are the short nose 378 and 388's

I see TMC trucks in my area all the time. The difference between a 379 and a 378 is the hood construction. The 378 has a fiberglass hood while the 379/388/389 has a metal one. I am pretty sure TMC's 07 and older 379 Petes are the shorter hood versions with the extinct ones being the long nose ones.

Yeah the key give away to telling if its a 379 or not is along the sides of the hood on the top portion. If it has rivets its a 379 if its a 378 its all fiberglass and no rivets. The 378 has a steep slope to the hood also.

I love my TMC truck but yes 62 does suck.
