Yes, I did e-mail you. I got quick responses from both you and an engineer by the name of Samuel. He issued an RMA - problem is, hubby is on the road and does not want to ship until he gets home. I can't blame him as there is not a clear idea of how long it will take to repair and ship back. FYI: For now he is using the AC cord to plug into the 12V adapter/extender (it makes two outlets, one 12V and one AC, out of one 12V) and the GPS is operating. The problem must be with the 12V cord is what we're thinking.

I sent you an email with the address info. The following is from my email, but I want to be sure to acknowledge how easy this process has been because of you:

I want to thank you and the rest of the staff at your company. You’ve been responsive to our needs and are obviously committed to ensuring that Rand McNally products are updated and refined to meet the needs of the consumers who use them – in this case, truck drivers who spend the majority of time on the road and need to be able to depend on the tools they use to make their lives easier and more productive.

We appreciate all of your help.

    Mark Kling Thanks this.

A co-worker of mine just contacted me saying that his 700 just went out. He said it gave him a warning that the memory was near full. Him having his laptop with him in his truck he immediately tried to hooking it up and as soon as he did it shutdown. Now, he has only had his unit for 2mos. and for it to be out of memory is ridiculous, imo. He is calling RM to hopefully resolve this issue. Will let you know what he finds out.

Turn it off and then back on. The TND needs to be reboot every several days. All the screens and POI's are being stored in memory and after awhile you have no memory. Rebooting clears it out and it should be fine.

    Thanks,
    Mark
