It does take some getting used to standing a trailer up, and honestly everytime I dump a frameless I get that little bit of “oh boy here we go” feeling. But that’s what makes it fun. A full frame is a lot more sure footed that is certain. However they are heavier than a frameless. And if you get stuck you can’t “caterpillar” yourself out, you’re just stuck. Also, if things go south in a full frame and it goes over, it’s probably taking the truck with it. Violently. If a frameless tips the draft arms are SUPPOSED to break away, and not take the truck with it. As shown in Exhibit A.

While the box is up and you are attempting to move, make sure you also put your power divider in. While unloading, the drives don't have a lot of traction.

I’m wondering if I did a short term rental of a 32’ to get the hang of things before moving up to a longer trailer would be a good idea.
I have a few places to practice with an empty trailer and I’ll have a lil sticky note on steps to dump until I get my stuff together.D.Tibbitt and motocross25 Thank this. -
My advice would be to go ahead and get what you need, better yet ride with a driver if you can who pulls frameless and see if you can get the feel for it, I trained a guy for 1 day and never saw him again, he was honest with me and said the trailer scared him too much, you’ll know quickly if you have the stones for it or not. A 32ft trailer is nothing near the experience of a 40ft frameless, it’s night and day, I hate to say but you’ve just got to get out there and do it, and do it safely.

@Coolbreezin yes Bob was my dispatcher, and yes I agree he was not easy to deal with, but he has since retired and they have reorganized the pay structure. I’m simply stating cypress dump work is actually a pretty good gig if you don’t mind the monotony of 2 trips back and forth to jax, when I was there we at least had the palatka run in the afternoons for a change of pace.

Glad to know you are doing OK. I haven't had time to get on here but was doing some research and well Truckers report was one of the places I had to look so here I am for the minute.
I am doing good, new dog, a Dutch Shepard was a personal protection dog for some body high in the MI prison system. A strange kid on the property was acting stupid she did her job and well she was sent back to the breeder and now she's a trucking pup.
Happy Trails Everyone.
I WILL be back.
