Sorry about having to stay out more @Professor No-Name I’m home pretty much everyday now with the rare exception of an overnighter every few months. My years on the road were always met with weekends home, I personally couldn’t do more than 5 nights in a truck.
to all end dump haulers...

Easy week here. A trip out to colorado and then 2 days local. Today we hauled asphalt. I’ve never done asphalt before but it wasn’t terrible. Until it started raining. Then the tack got wet and flung up on our trucks and that was the end of that. The powers that be told us get out of there, and sent everyone to get a truck wash. So it turned into an early off Friday. Which doesn’t break my heart any.

I haul cold patch, also called EZ street all the time down here, not quite as fresh as asphalt I guess but it still makes a mess none the less, once it gets on your rims, or any part of your trailer, it pretty much becomes one with the unit. That’s why I take my pics so far away, because up close you can definitely see it’s a working truck
. Truck looks good @motocross25 any plans to head out to Ironman this year for the national, looks like Jett is about to put in a perfect 24-0 season in his rookie 450 year if someone doesn’t step up their game quick.

Yea I delivered cellulose at nestle purina. Picked up glass in phoenix. Unloaded that at owens - corning in KC a little bit ago. Had to wait for them to dump a railcar first. That took me awhile to unload. Once I filled the pit with the first hopper, then the back one took forever. Plus it was fairly hot an dusty inside the rail shed.motocross25 Thanks this.

That rail shed sucks dude. We used to bring them crushed limestone at my old job. If the wind is just right it’ll hit you head on and carry that dust out the back, but usually it just swirls in between the buildings and you get covered.Professor No-Name Thanks this.

I am beginning to think that end dump might imo be easier than unloading hoppers. Of course that depends on the different unloading scenarios. With an end dump it certainly was a lot quicker most of the time getting the material off of the trailer. Course being level always presented its own particular challenges. But imo that's what made pulling an end dump so fun.

Yea, I had my pants an long sleeve shirt on plus my dust mask. It was hard to breathe in there.
