I seen a couple of your trucks up in Minnesota today on 35 or maybe it was in Iowa yeah never mind it was in Iowa on 35 headed towards Minnesota.

 

Nasty dusty Beet pellets. Getting them ground up an then reloaded going to Iowa. Picked em up in Minnesota.

 

That dust would be enough to drive me nuts. I haul feed out of lake city pretty regularly and it has to be one of the worst I’ve seen for dust, I’m a neat freak with my interior so I can feel my BP rise every time that air dryer pops off!

 

I swear Peterbilt has a sensor where every time the door open the air dryer pops off

 

Yea it sometimes can be a real challenge keeping dust out of the inside. An it really ticks ya off when they can obviously tell which way the wind is blowing through an open building but yet they're dead set on pulling ya in one way only. Who cares about the hour or so ya just spent cleaning the inside or the 100 bucks ya just spent the day before at the truck wash. Not their truck so they don't care two ticks of an iota!! My truck was clean before today. Now i'll have to get a second wash job done today or tomorrow. Just had it washed Tuesday or Wednesday.

 

Can you take a piece of old radiator hose...or whatever fits... clamp it to the exhaust on the air drier, clamp onto the frame or a cross member and run it horizontally for a ways? Our mechanic does that and it sure solved a lot of the dust problems from when the drier kicks off.

 

Woke up this morning to being nearly blocked in because of guys double parked off the curb in front of me, luckily no one to my left so I was able to barely make the swing but had to, in turn, exit out of the vehicle entrance, prior to leaving went in for coffee and a bathroom break, only to find a fellow “professional driver” washing his feet in the sink while his co driver brushed his teeth and commenced to hocking the biggest loogie in the public sink, boy do I miss the road!!!!

 

Some nasty no common sense people in this world!!

 

That's when you wish there was a high pressure fire hose handy. "You guys want to clean up? Get ready, 'cause here it comes."
One of our tribal policemen got a week off for doing exactly that when he caught one of the prisoners taking a crap in his bunk. He knocked that guy down like a bowling pin and then got a three cushion shot around the cell. The guys that run the tribal jail don't play nice.
I thought he should have gotten a medal. We found some work for him on one of the ranches to make up for the week off.
