For it being Truck Driver Appreciation Week, this doesn’t seem very appreciative.

I got stopped as well this week on Monday for a full inspection at the “barn” leaving Florida. Passed with flying colors though so a $100 bonus and those nifty cvsa stickers were my reward :)

What was that all about? Was it just a random inspection?

    motocross25 Thanks this.

Maybe I'll get unlucky enough to get d.o.t'd eventually so I can get me some CVSA stickers. My ride stays fully inspected and ready for em whenever a DOT man feels froggy.

Yea we were going back and forth and he sat there all day watching then just wanted to check we were keeping our weights at or under 85,500 and just seeing what we were doing. I think he was bored. Super nice guy tho. Didn’t ask for logs or registration or any of that.

This seems like a silly question but are your road trailers only tandems? I guess they can’t participate in the 85,500 games? Do you guys ever run under the commercial zone rules with no max weight and 22,400 per axle limits? We used to have 5 axle straight trucks netting 35 tons of gravel per trip. They did a lot of wobbling back and forth going down the road because their COG was so high.

Our main runs are up to and back out of alabama @kylefitzy and we’re permitted to gross 88K out of AL back in to FL, I don’t participate in the fun though because the money isn’t worth the hassle to me, a few extra bucks per load and no interstate travel, I’ll pass.

    motocross25 and kylefitzy Thank this.
