Heck, if I was an independent, I wouldn't be happy unless I could make at least $2,000 profit a week, and that's after all business-related expenses.
It doesn't seem worth having all that risk and stress unless it pays off like that. I'd rather make $60k a year as a company driver rather than make less than $100k a year as an independent.
