Just say: "If I had money, I wouldn't be driving a ####### truck!"

When you see them coming at you cut them off at the pass:
"Say man, you got a dollar for me?"

Wow. 3 days before Christmas and this is what you guys talk about. How about you give them a couple bucks? Is it going to kill you? Just skip out on one 44oz soda and hotdog session for one time. Your health will thank you and you will be helping out someone in need. You dont know their stories. Where they are at in life could be us at a moment's notice under a million different possible circumstances. You folks better pray to your GOD that you never end up like that and if you do you better hope to all hell that karma isnt real. I give money to every single person who asks me for it unless I really don't have any cash/change.

"Nope, sorry," and I just keep on walking. Anybody who climbed up on the truck though, met with an entirely different Big Don. Panhandler, hooker or whatever, if they actually had the guts to climb up on the truck, found a rather unpleasant welcome.

You give to the gospel mission yet your giving habits are contrary to the bible. You DONT know why they are on the street begging for change.

that money goes strictly for food and clothing at the mission, these guys have to attend church every Sunday and has a curfew.I use to give to these so called people down on there luck even limping really putting on a good show then a week later they re wearing nice clothes and it's a miracle they are no longer limping.they must have raised enough money for surgery.I've offered to buy these guys and gals a meal they would rather have the money, now why do you spose that is?not far from my house I seen a guy begging at burger king I bought him a meal he trashed my car took three washes inside to get the smell out.I made many suggestions he would rather bum off people.these guys can work if they wanted to.

Been there done that. Lived in a '71 VW an entire winter. No job, nowhere to go, nothing to eat. Could do it again if I had to but fortunately I have myself in a position that will never happen again. Going through it once was very motivating to make myself successful.

Never asked for help from anyone. Sure as hell never begged at a truckstop or anywhere else. They can do what I did and work their way out of it. If they want to, they'll find a way.

There are the true hard luck stories of course, but they are the very small minority. The majority are lazy bums. I quit trying to help them when I tried to give several over the course of a couple months food from the truck and they refused it.....as well as seeing the same ones over and over again at the same places running the same scams.
