Lol stage 1 is two cylinders, stage 2 is four cylinders and stage 3 is 6 cylinders (assuming it's a 6 cylinder engine). Now we know what Swift teaches at least
Also it does not shut off the fuel to the cylinders it uses the exhaust valves after the compression stroke actually using the motor against itself!!!
Essentially it does. It uses the lobe that actuated the injector to open the exhaust valve instead of the injector plunger.
Mine are on 100% except in lots or on ice/snow. I also have to tap the brake to turn them on, so coasting isn't an issue. Jake's are adjusted once every 400k while brakes are adjusted every time you apply pressure. Since I'm leased to a company and use their trailers, I also use the trailer spike on hills with the jakes to further save wear on the things I pay for....
I think this hits it well. Different strokes for different folks. I coasted a lot so never left them on.
I wouldn’t discount the power of small things. All of these small fuel economy tips can together become something significant, especially over time.
no offense man but thats a true nit picking statement if i ever heard one. Jakes will not cost you money in fuel. Slow down slower and save fuel ok dam haha
