Ya which leaves me in a conundrum. Cause it's supposed to be there fcfsbetween 0800 and 1430 Tuesday. 22 is less than 23.5

That's what I'm thinking. The last 2 weeks these need a super clean no holes dry van customers have killed a crap ton of my time on both ends

I always oppt for the reset if I can squeeze it in. I much prefer having the available hours for whatever's necessary . I find it so much more relaxing to not have to sweet my recap.

Curious why you have to start the clock for that as opposed to line 5.

With the hours you have coming back I'd get close to the shipper tonight. I'm not a morning person plus the further you get tomorrow the more time you'll have on your 14 after unloading Tuesday.

I'm with tinytim on this one. Of course I've never driven for a mega company, but there's no way I'd use my driving hours to go to Walmart. Especially if it interferes with a reset.

I wouldn't reset if I was delivering at 14:30. Everyone and their dog will be looking for loads and you will have leftovers by 14:30. I'd gamble the recap would be sufficient for the following week.

I went to toledo. I'm not 15 miles from shipper.
Werner pegged me on a 10 hr suspension for misuse of line 5 after I picked up the truck at a dealer cause a pilot was close.
They threatened me with a 24 hr suspension if it happened again. So I started my clock to go do what I needed to do. Not spending 200 on food for 3 days at a truck stop. Screw that.

    tinytim and skellr Thank this.

Dude, next time you're at Walmart, spend $15 on an ice chest, and then stock it up. A bag of ice every other day will keep drinks, lunch meat, etc. in good shape. Much healthier than truck stop food, and a heck of a lot cheaper. More convenient as well.

First time I've ever heard of a company giving a driver a "suspension" for trying to SAVE their driving hours. Sounds kinda like cutting their own throat to me. You sit 24 hours for your "punishment", and their truck is sitting as well, not making a dime while the bills pile up. Brilliant business plan if you ask me.

I can see picking it up from the dealer being work related I guess, running to Walmart for personal items when off the clock though? Better safe than sorry I guess.
