$200 in 3 days is me eating dinner at Red Lobster and Steak and Ale for 3 days. But then again, $200 wouldn't be enough to stop me from going to the house.

I would have waited till I got home and then jumped into the car to go to Wal-Mart. The war department would have loved for you to go with her to Wally World.

    I have a iceless cooler.
Ya, fresh deli and fresh vegetables. Fresh as much as I can.
Because the gps pinged me at the peelotnext to the dealer, that's not personal conveyance because the peelot had amenities. Granted disgusting food etc, but that's how they chalk it up. So I forewent my 34 hr and did what I needed to.

I'd went off duty personal conveyance to wal mart to so begin with, unless Werner wouldn't allow, too late now.

I think I'm starting to understand. Sounds like you did what you could, but Werner is just being hard to deal with.

I still can't figure out why they would punish you and shut their own money-making machine down because of you trying to save your driving hours. Beats all I ever heard of.

But it sounds like you're gonna be alright for the week, so it worked out.

Irrelevant. There are Wal-Marts in Vegas.

I know...thats not what you want to hear. Whats done is done, right? Its just that, if this time is so important, why jeopardize it with a run to Wal-Mart?

Six, you're a pretty smart dude, tell me what the reasoning is for this company (and possibly others) to punish their drivers by making them sit for 24 hours, because they tried to use their own "line 5" for a personal run to the grocery store. I just don't get it. If I owned a company, and I had a driver trying his best to maximize his driving hours, the last thing I'd want to do is shut him (and MY truck) down!

Am I missing something? What's the reasoning behind this move? This is the first time I've heard of it, but I've never done time at a big company either.

They won't allow when sitting at truck stop.
Pain in the ### when they give me a bust load and no one gets back to me for 3 days.

Probably a response to too many abusing personal conveyance.

PC is a nightmare on an audit because so many drivers abuse it. Werner, big as it is, I can promise you gets audited all the time and fined/csa'd accordingly. If the fmcsa actually gave a #### about safety it might mean something, but they don't. So companies cover their ##### by hammering drivers over stupid stuff.
