LM's around here seem to last maybe 3 years. Had one last year training quit after 4 hours.
Longevity depends on company and some companies burn through them quickly.

I would say like 80-90% of our dispatches have a number for both shipper and consignee. I pretty much always will be early by hours or even days sometimes on loads and I'm speaking to that company as well as the planners about delivering earlier. I have yet to receive one of the promised service failures for delivering early. If that company is going to take it, I'm getting that load off of me asap. Don't give a single #### what dispatch says. It's not their clock.

I like the way it works where I am.
Fleet managers are given a set revenue goal per truck. All trucks on their fleet must average xx amount per week. If they hit this they get a substantial bonus.
Keeps them motivated to make us money.
But, safety violations, speeding and accidents on their fleet have an adverse effect on the bonus. I think a single speeding ticket on a fleet managers board can take as much as 20% of their bonus.
They hustle to get us loads, never ever push us to be unsafe or illegal. Works well.Jazz1 Thanks this.
