There is also another fuse box on the left side of the driver seat behind the privacy curtain where the seat belt strap is. Use a dime to turn the screw.
Today was a good/sad day

Check the smart phones, some of them have Skype and as much power as some laptops. Call, keep in touch, and take pictures to post on their Face Book pages for them and all their friends to see.

Truck is all good now and I got my first load. Sitting in Nephi, UT tonight. I have 6 stops in UT, one in NV (Las Vegas) then straight to the Santa Fe Springs terminal. My truck needs a lube done.
Got a question, why does my truck squeak like a stuck pig when I use the exhaust brake? Is that something I should bring up to the shop.
I have also learned that for some items the Flying J is way cheaper then Sapp Bros. The 50' air hose is $15 less and the 300w inverter is $11 less. I could have bought a lot of Mt. Dew with that $26. Oh well, live and learn. -
Things have been going good on the road. After my trip from SLC to SFS I got a load to PHX with stops in El Centro, Calexico and Yuma. After that I got a load to Conover with a stop just outside Dallas.
I am taking my first 34 in Conover right now. I see a pickup truck in that parking lot that looks a lot like AT's truck, pretty sure it is his.
When I woke up this morning and started my truck to crank some A/C my low air pressure waring alarm was going off. I let the tanks fill till the governor kicked the compressor off and turned the truck off to inspect it. Turns out my right side cab air bag has sprung a pretty bad leak. It is losing air at a rate of around 12-13psi/min.
I am having a lot of fun out here, but really miss my kids. I am trying to get back home after leaving here because my ex-father in law just died and my kids are really upset. I don't mean to sound cold, but he won't be missed, but I still need to be there for my kids. I also have some time sensitive legal paperwork that needs to be signed and they wont fax it to me. It would also be nice to pick up more stuff for my truck that I have at home.
I have had two things scare the crap out of me in my short time on the road. The first was between Yuma and Phoenix, AZ. I was cruising along I8 and there was many dirt devil tornado things in the desert. Then one decided to change course and jump onto the freeway. I drove right through that thing and it rocked the hell out of the truck! I thought it was going to blow me over!!! The other thing that almost made me poo myself was in Phoenix. I hooked to a trailer and checked it all out. I released the parking breaks and adjusted the brakes then set the brakes again and turned the truck off to check the oil and stuff. I get out of the truck and I here a hissing noise coming from the trailer tandems. I get down under the trailer and start looking for the leak. The next thing I know is it makes a loud bang noise. I got out of there so fast!!! Turns out the trailer had air ride and would dump every time the brakes were set. I still don't know why it went bang, maybe something was binding up and then broke loose? All I know is it scared the crap out of me!
I will try to update more often. Hope everyone else is having a good time, staying safe and getting lots of miles! -
Hahahahahaha all the old trailers with the air dump do that, its just the suspension lowering, its funny when you have a customer in there unloading was it does it lol

Got a load out of here. About to crash out so I can leave between 2200-0000 local time. I want to get some rest so I can cover some good miles before I stop. Heading back to SFS, with no stops along the way!!! I am really enjoying this! It will be nice to get home and see my kids tho, it has been almost a month since I saw them last. Was planning on staying out a few more weeks before heading in, but with the death of their grandpa, they need me right now. I will only be home for 2 days, then back on the road. Will also pick up more stuff for the truck, do laundry for free and get a much needed haircut.
You guys/gals stay safe! -
4 weeks since your last post......wassup?
