TallJoe,
I need to set up an IPass account online. How many months back can you view? Hopefully, I will be able to see 2020. I stopped counting after a while since notifications were coming so often. I might change the limit amount charged when it is replenished, so I don't get so many notifications. It will be easier to handle the paperwork in 2021.
TOlls whats your average

My current replenishment amount is set for $40 but it does indeed pollute the credit card statements so I think I'll increase to $100 or even $200. I think I'll do it now ... LOL
P.S.
Just did it...it should be less annoying now. Decided to make it $100.00 though.

Tolls are $800/month running WI, IL, OH, IN, PA, NY with a PrePass account.

Did about 2400 last year.

Last year, in 2021 I reached the record of: $17,700 - IL, IN, OH, PA, NY - That's one truck operation.
I run almost 100 000 miles in 2021, that means that the 2021 toll cost translated to 18 c per mile as a cost - the 3rd highest after fuel and repairs&maintenance.
Normally, I would have been more considerate about the routing to save some of it but they were paying enough to absorb the cost. For instance, in 2020 I spent $9,300 on total tolls running essentially the same lanes with similar work volume but they were paying for the most of the year much less than in 2021 - especially the first half of it.
For the most part, with my home location, avoiding tolls would be very inconvenient and require awkward routing. Sometimes, time is of essence too. So, if your lanes run eastbound from Chicago area and then you backhaul from there, this is a significant cost to consider.Last edited: Feb 17, 2022

Around $600 per month.
Running in the midwest only.
Still, it's a rip off.Last edited: Mar 4, 2022
