Too long since CDL school ?

This was right out of trucking school?

 

In the same boat. Didnt think local companies would hire me,then driving by a company one day,I go in the next day,they said recent cdl grad or 8 months experience. Wish I had have seem them right out of school.

LOL! I love the idiotic companies that are that blind to reality, hilarious how common that is. Look at smaller companies, they don't allow the ins companies to bully them like the megas do.

 

I was hounded to start orientation after graduation. To me that was flag #1. So I went the ready mix driving route and he hours were ridiculous. I left just under 90 days after graduation and Averitt hired me as there policy is 90 days. Not sure about other companies. Oh I do know Navajo Express will also.

 

Perishable skill. Got to use it while its fresh.
Happens to me. First time on the motorcycle in spring I know to take it real easy. Sure the gross motor skills are there, but the fine motor skills take awhile to bring back.

TransAm and Swift would hire him if he can pass a road test because they are gonna send you out with trainer for few weeks.
