President Kennedy put a man on the moon.

You endured 25 years of the big green weenie. If you feel up to it, you can endure flatbedding.

    BTW, I recommended Rinauldo because

    1. Their home base is near yours
    2. They're a specialized carrier instead of primarily a stick and brick hauler...meaning they shouldn't tarp nowhere near as much.
    3. They have a true heavy haul option...okay, light heavyhaul with 7 and 8 axle rigs, not like TMC's "heavyhaul" where you have to wait half a decade to pull harvesters on 35 ton rgns. At any rate, the top of Rinauldo will make your resume look worlds better than being at the top of TMC.

I just finished my first year flatbedding. I'm 60. The first week I was stiff and sore, kind of the same as the first week of a sports season. Your muscles and joints get used to it. I love being physically active and out in the elements. I love working with forklift and crane operators to figure out how to put a jigsaw load on the deck and secure it, or arriving at a customer and they point to a gawdawful top heavy piece and I go, "Wait, WHAT!!???"

I certainly don't miss dealing with shippers and receivers that treat you like dung. If they are late getting the shipment ready there's an apology. Arriving at receivers it isn't uncommon to have a forklift driver and crew hussling to help unsecure the load so they can get you unloaded and on your way.

You're not too old not even close.I've seen guys in their 70s doing flatbed.Age is not the issue, but your health and body is.If you think you're physically fit then go for it.
