He's in his office on his computer, checked out Melton and says it gets 4.5 out of 5 stars on Indeed Reviews. lol, he's checking reviews NOW!
Flatbed carrier, he's not sure he can do that though. He's not a big guy and worries he can't physically do that type of work. Tarps and all. They're heavy. Not sure.
Thanks so much! He's on both websites right now!

I should add central hires from fl, which you might find to be the toughest criteria of your search. Many places won't touch you in fl.

He put in an application at a Budweiser Distributor in Sarasota, FL a couple months ago. He's not experienced enough to haul beer yet. lol, makes me laugh.. He actually trained on both a beer truck and a 53' dry van truck (forgive me if I don't refer to things properly) while at CDL school, took his road test in the beer truck. So he has a few minutes experience in an empty beer truck!
He doesn't mind having to do some physical work, but again, he's not a big guy and he's 52 yrs old, not that 52 is old, but he's not 30 anymore.
Thanks for the info, we appreciate the help!Skydivedavec Thanks this. -
Oh, that kinda sucks that we can't get hired from FL. We'll keep looking though. Thanks! He's on Central's website now.

There is a Walmart Distributor near us, I think it's down in Punta Gorda? Not sure. Does Walmart require a lot of experience first? We need to go to their website.

That's what I'm afraid of ...
He says he will most likely "suck it up" and go back for another trip, which will put him at a whopping 6 months of experience. Not sure if I will go with him this time.
Oh, what am I saying, of course I'll end up throwing my stuff into the truck at the last minute and driving off with him. I can't let him endure all that alone, it's easier to deal with it together, we hold each other up and then it's not so bad.
Besides, I am really good at deciphering those goofy Qualcomm messages that they send with trip info. I have to laugh ... the first time he got a pre-trip, he sent a message back that said something like, "I don't understand any of this cryptic stuff! Tell me in plain English what you want me to do!" LOL He's used to working in a logical way, step 1, step 2, step 3. These messages are not like that at all. Step 2 is usually at the end of a 4 page bunch of abbreviations that read like etchings on dusty tablets found in ancient grave excavations. That drives him nuts.
I have been documenting everything and taking pictures during the trips and our experiences would make a great book, "In Search Of A Proper Meal ... a peek into life on the road, from a beginner driver's perspective", or something like that. I might just write that book.
