Tooth question?

Did it HURT?

 

I have seen both sides of this. I have seen Dental Insurance kick in and the co-pays were like $25 bucks. I have also seen Dental Insurance top out their payment at say $500 or $1000 for the year leaving you virtually without till Jan the 1st. Just depends on the company because there is a lot of flimflam out there.

 

Wadda you guys these days? I got four teeth yanked and all I used was Motrin for pain. Cripes sakes, what a bunch of whiners!! Broke a leg 30 years ago. Same thing: Motrin 800 mg horse pills. No narcotics needed. You guys need to grow a pair. Ya' really want to pretend how "tough" you are?

 

Had one taken out, my second. This one required a oral surgeon to break it up and pull 50 peices out under IV anesthesia and Versed for memory block. Once they kicked me loose, we had 2 full weeks of Demerol family pills for the bone pain and infection. Essentially the medicine was sufficient to take 2 weeks out of my life. There was no way I would be driving with that stuff at the level of dose in the system. The bill approached 2000, insurance took care of it minus 500.

 

As a child I had many an ingrown toe nail. The worst was sorta like this, but only half of it was taken. Local anesthetic, then the doc zipped his little scissors from tip to base and have it a yank. Thought my mom was going to hit the floor, lol.

The worst tho was getting hit in the back of the head with a piece of slate that was thrown Frisbee style... Blood everywhere. A dozen staples later to keep the seeds inside the smashed pumpkin I guess I'm no worse for wear.

 

I am forced to take nsaid pain medications because opioid's make me ill. I have had to toughen up over the years because of this. I can just barely take Tylenol 3's and use them very sparingly.

 

My roots are to my bone and getting a couple taken out by the oral surgeon handling my jaw which is why they are coming out.

 

Back in the early seventies my brother was about 4 years old at the time and he was running around with a towel over his head so he couldn't see then we had one of those old burner stove that was low to the floor but he tripped and fell and his hands and arms landed on top of the stove and melted his fingers together the doctors literally had to cut his fingers apart because the skin between the fingers had melted together and he had scars on his forearms and Palms of his hands till he was in his mid-twenties that's when they finally started to disappear to this day he still has nerve damage in his hands because of it
