    I'm thinking about selling my magnum s980 with the 300 watt amp stuck underneath it.....I don't know how hard I'm thinking about it though

    I think i know what you might be considering..Then again you said you dont wanna wait a yr..Might even be a n4,which i sorta been eyeballen to...Its just not as sexy as a 955 or 955xxx

    I would be temped to try a puck if i thought it would help any big amount..Just have to think of a way to securely mount it so its not to hard on the ant stud.

    Unless you're going to use a super big heavy antenna you won't see any advantage to using that mounting puck.
    The only Advantage is a structural one

    once I possess the antenna I'll have to figure it out...I might be able to run it off what I've got. which I have no issues at all with..time will tell I guess

    Just looking for possible ground plane ideas..Saw a gimmick that was supposed to simulate ground plane but is only good for 50 watts or so..
