I didn't have to do the math...Eaton did that for me.I just used eatons road speed calculator and I checked it three times and it comes out to 114!

That formula came from eaton sir. thats what the dealers used before computers when you spec a new truck. i have checked many times with roadrangers speed calculator and its always very close.

O.k. the bottom slide ends at 100mph. which is between 4.56 and 4.33,a little closer the 4.33s right? The end of my slide ends right about the 3.70 right?Below the 100mph mark there are also gear ratio markings,I was using those markings to figure out the aproximate mph over 100 mph. by using the markings in relationship to the mph. above them.I suppose I should not have used that as the speeds increase the markings get slightly closer. That may have accounted for the 4mph. Sorry!

####, 114...118MPH...superb speeds for those trucks. And what the tires looks like after those speeds? I guess that they don't look very well...right?

That's the 888hp? Are those ratings ok for hills? Because, over here if truck can go fast, it's weak on the hill...but with ordinary engine....

My uncle did 125mph! The mechanics at KW in canton and my dad even seen it on the computer readout.

You don't need HP to get speed! A shinny 290 with the right gears will go fast.

    125mph with 290? In 18 wheeler?

Well, anyway, was that 125 on the speedometer or with GPS?

No he had a 2000 W900L and it showed up on the ECM

I was just stating that any motor with the right gears can go fast.
